Basketball
Join the Basketball CCA to build skills, teamwork, and character through fun, structured training and competitive opportunities like the National School Games.
Basketball provides a high-spirited, physically demanding, and supportive environment where students develop fundamental skills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting through structured drills and full-court play.
Beyond physical development and cardiovascular fitness, the CCA also serves as a platform for students to grow as leaders while nurturing essential 21st Century Competencies (21CC) such as communication, collaboration, resilience, and problem-solving. Students who demonstrate strong teamwork and leadership qualities may be appointed as team captains or CCA leaders, where they receive opportunities and guidance to strengthen their decision-making abilities.
Through these experiences, students also develop important values such as empathy, responsibility, and sportsmanship, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
Our teams compete with pride in the National School Games (NSG) Junior and Senior Divisions, as well as in friendly matches with like-minded schools. In 2026, we clinched 2nd position in NSG Basketball Senior Boys League 6 competition. The dynamic nature of the basketball court requires constant, active communication and collaboration as students strategise plays and make split-second decisions on the fly.
Stepping into roles like team captain and vice captains fosters profound responsibility, while the competitive nature of the sport nurtures a healthy growth mindset and resilience through both victories and defeats.
